Do: Drink Tea

A cup of earl grey tea, one sugar and a dash of milk. That’s how I like to start my day.

After much research and observation I have discovered the recipe for the best cup of earl grey tea.

Here follows a tea for two recipe

You will need:

1 tea pot

your favourite tea bags, Twinnings is preferable,  I’m also partial to a spot of sidney breakfast

1 Boil the kettle

2 warm your pot by pouring boiling water directly into your teapot.

3 swill and pour water straight down the plug hole.

4 re-boil kettle and add 1 bag of your favourite tea to your warmed pot.

5 Stand by your kettle, the moment the kettle boils (no sooner, no later) pour boiled water  immediately into warmed pot, over your chosen tea bag.

6 brew for two to three minutes, longer if you like your tea strong.

7 serve your prepared teapot on a tray with tea cups, saucers, tea spoons, a jug of milk and a sugar pot.

8 Morning tea is best with crumpets, afternoon tea is best served with a good biscuit. I highly recommend this shortbread. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted. Fact.

9 Finished!

You are now ready to set the world to rights with a good friend.

How do you take your tea?

I think I’m in love with those photos!

Anyway, I use green tea powder from korea then I add cream and a dash of sugar. A sweet start for a sweet day!

But does the milk go in before or after the tea… the eternal debate!
