Do: Set the table

Whilst I love to cook at home, nothing quite beats the luxury of an evening spent in a good restaurant. There is something so inviting about a well set table with perfectly placed crockery, a neatly folded napkin and a fresh bouquet of flowers. These tables often wink at me through restaurant windows, tempting me in with the promise of good food, good company and possibly a little glass of wine. Over the past couple of years I seem to have collected images of tables that i’ve sat at, or wished I could have sat at. The above selection shows just a few of my favorites.

  1. and you don’t have to worry about dishes afterwards ;) beautiful photos.

  2. What a charming collection of photos! It’s true, there is something attractive about a set table. The whole decor of a well put together restaurant and the arrangement of the tables really can invite or in the case of a not-so-well-put-together one repel quite effectively. Great idea for a post!

thank you, yes you’re right, the layout is so important and it’s not always something you notice – unless it’s done badly!
